Professor Alhazmy served as a chairman of the Department of Theral Engineering, Member of the council College of Engineering, member of the council of the deanship of the Scientific research, member of the King Abdulaziz University Scientific council, and Editor in chief of the King Abdulaziz university Journal of Engineering sciences.

Research Interests
Current research interests of Professor Alhazmy include modeling of thermo-fluid systems and lately registered patens on enhancing production rates from thermal water desalination plants, utilizing solar energy in water desalination units, improving the thermal performance of building blocks. Professor Alhazmy’s research has been supported by the KACST, MARIFAH and KAU.
